Amman, November 2014 - As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and activities, Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO) held on Friday 14 November, 2014, a free medical day in the area of Disi in Aqaba.

Furthermore, a number of pharmaceutical companies and warehouses donated medicine products prescribed by the doctors, and a group of CEGCO employees from across different departments volunteered to take part in the event.
CEGCO’s Chief Executive Officer commended the volunteers’ dedicated efforts. He went on to explain that organizing a free medical day on a regular basis in remote villages and areas in which the Company’s power plants are located is closely aligned with CEGCO’s CSR programs, and corresponds with its unwavering commitment to supporting the local community. He stated that this is the fourth consecutive event of its kind in Aqaba, and thanked the volunteers for ensuring the initiative’s success.
