On behalf of myself and my colleagues at the Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO), I am delighted to welcome you to our website, where we showcase the highlights of our work, which reflects our vision for innovation and excellence in generating electricity in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Our mission is to generate electric power with high quality, availability and efficiency, in accordance with the highest international standards.

In keeping with our commitment to ensuring that CEGCO remains at the forefront of the power-generation sector in Jordan, we continue to exert our best efforts in rehabilitating operating stations through the Company’s primary investor, ACWA Power, which manages a large investment portfolio in this sector in Jordan and other countries. We operate two central power plants in Aqaba, and Risha, which currently boast a total installed capacity of 454 megawatts. We aspire to increase this capacity in the near future in order to accommodate rising demand for electricity.

Our excellence and success from the outset and until to today, is founded not only on your trust in us, but also on the unwavering efforts of our efficient, dedicated and professional team. As such, we strive to continuously enhance the performance of our cadres by providing numerous training programs for various professions, in addition to participating in conferences and events related to the generation of electricity, in order to give them the opportunity to exchange experiences and remain abreast of the latest technical systems pioneered by international companies, so as to ensure the provision of the best possible services at all times.

Furthermore, as an integral part of our intrinsic values, we are committed to carrying out our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, through which we support local communities by implementing a variety of initiatives, activities and community programs across the Kingdom, with particular attention to the areas in which we operate.
